Old Bands

These wonderful Beasties weren't always The Midnight Beast. They made this band in 2009. But they did start somewhere else. At least I know for sure about Stef and Dru. Not too sure about Ash.


Perfect People
Stef, Dru, and two other guys (don't know who they are) were in a band named Perfect People. I love 2 of their songs. Well, its mainly Stef singing. The videos I like best of these songs are Stef going accoustic on webcam. My favorite that I'm humming constantly is What You're Told. The video is labeled What You're Told on My Ukelele. It's a cute video where Stef is playing the Ukelele and Dru is wearing a tiara while playing the tamborine. The other song is Tiptoes. The video I like is labled Tiptoes on my Casio. Stef is really getting to show off his voice in these videos.

The Clik Clik
There is only one song I really like from them. It must have been their most famous. It's called Did You Wrong. Stef was about 19 at this point. He and Dru are in this band with some guy and a chick. Stef sings lead and plays guitar. Dru plays the drums. The other guy plays bass. And the girl does some vocals and she plays the tambourine in this video. I like the lyrics. And it's a catchy song. But it's not Stef and Dru's best. It's still good and that's just my personal opinions.

You can't compare any of the bands to the others. They are ALL completely different from one another. The Clik Clik was the first and they were more pop than anything. Perfect People was a boyband that never really took off. They weren't a typical boyband of any sorts that I know of. I've never seen the band perform and never really listened to them Just Stef(; The Midnight Beast is a comedy Boyband. They mix up the styles. And since they do make fun of other things, you can't put a label on what they do. It's just fabulous music. :)

The Members

This has got to be my favorite subject(; This isn't his best picture, but he is adorable! His full name is Stefan James Donal John Abingdon. No I'm not a stalker. He (along with with others) mention it in their song The Dance Routine. He is the lead singer of The Midnight Beast. My favorite Beast has a twitter. @stefanabingdon. Follow if you have a twitter, I am. And he follows back. He was my 15th follower and at this moment I have 122. I love this man (not boy because he is 22. I'm 16. I can't call him boy hahahahaha). He has an amazing voice. He and his band are a comedy band. They are all best friends. He and Dru were in 2 bands before and they didn't make it. Now they are doing better than ever now that they have Ash. And they are making fun of people. Stefan is 22 years old Born January 19th 1989. He is the youngest of the group. Once again, I'm not a stalker. This information in on Wikipedia! :) His is known simply as Stef. <3

Ashley Niel Horne. He is absolutely gorgeous! He could model if he weren't in this band. And he kinda does. You know photo shoots for his band. Ash jokes in a couple of his songs (Just Another Boyband and The Dance Routine) that he is gay. I don't believe it. I've heard he has a girlfriend. I know that isn't saying anything (look at Bieber hahahahaha jk) but I don't think it's true. Ash was born January 4th 1989. 22 years old. He and Stef are best friends. They share a loft in London. He is also on twitter @AshleyNHorne if you want to follow. I'm following him too! He is super sexy!!!! Many girls say that he is their fave. He's not my favorite but he is #2. Once again, this is not the best picture of Ash, but you can google him. He's hot. Great eye candy(;

Dru is short for Andrew. As in Andrew Francis Wakely. Dru is 24 years old. Born January 10th 1987. It's been rumored that Dru's dad left him when Dru was only 3 years old on Christmas Eve. He mentions this in almost all of the songs. Some being Walk with Us, Ninjas, Dubstep on my Mouth Skit,

Lez Be Friends, Booty Call, Just Another Boyband, Use Ya Head, Friday, and the E.T. Parody. However, he did get a whole song dedicated to his "Daddy". The songs that mention Dru's childhood trauma are Tik Tok Parody, XXXmas Buddies, Down Parody, Friends for Never, Daddy, Walk With Us (xmas Version) and the Dance Routine. Dru is funny, sweet, smart, and awesome. I love this pic of him because he looks like my next door neighbor Jacob. That is the ONLY reason Dru is not my favorite. He reminds me too much of Jacob. They have a new video coming out. It's called Pizza in Ibiza. They tweet about it. One reason I love following TMB on twitter is, they follow back and they actually talk back to their fans. It's a really cool thing. They like to keep in touch with their fans and meet them and stuff. I hope one day to meet them. It would be a dream come true! Probably won't happen since they only have toured in Britain and I'm American...I've always wanted to move to London though....hmmmm.... :)

Tmb love

My favorite band is The Midnight Beast. I guess you could say I'm obsessed. But what isn't there to love about 3 VERY sexy British guys singing funny songs? They are very talented. They can actually sing. They don't need to auto tune because their voices are amazing. Their first song is a parody of Ke$ha's Tik Tok. With how good they are, it won't take long for them to become famous in the United States. They are pretty famous in Britain. I love all of their songs and always will. I would love to see them in concert. Other songs they include are XXXmas Buddies (triple xmas buddies) Down Parody (originally by Jay Sean) an original called Ninja Another original is called Lez Be Friends in which the lead singer is talking about how if a girl shuts him down, she must be a lesbian. Where as the other two members are talking about finding two girls for them. One of my favorites I have dedicated to my best friend because it describes our friendship It's called Friends for Never. That song really shows off their voices in a way that most singers today don't get because of trends. My brother's favorite song is called Daddy. Its a serious song even if the video isn't. Teens who have been abandoned by their fathers would really relate to this song. Booty Call is a funny song. When I'm down, I listen to it and it gets me feeling better because it makes me smile and laugh. What 3 guys would ACTUALLY turn down 3 beautiful drunk girls making a booty call? It's a great laugh. Myy favorite song of all time is Just Another Boyband. They look hot and they sound good. They are also making fun of EVERY boyband out there. If you've read this far, you might as well keep going. hahahaha

Now another song that is great for a laugh is Use Ya Head. It's a skit they were asked to do about sex education. There was a big mess about it after they released it but they aren't serious about the "advice" they give. At the end they say themselves not to trust TMB with safe sex advice. They also give a link to a safe sex website which I admire. With their range of listeners, its a great way to inform. The Beasts did a cover of Rebecca Black's Friday. I have never heard her version, but they did a VERY nice job. They used a webcam to record this one. And it was really good. One guy plays guitar, another paino (keyboard), and the other guy plays a sort of drum? Not sure what it is. One reason I love watching that video is for their facial expressions. I don't think they realize how great they are!

The Midnight Beast did another parody. This one is Katy Perry's E.T. One member acts like Kanye West and they talk about a perverted alien. The lyrics will make you laugh and you will be in tears from all the laughter after seeing the video. I also personally love the song The Dance Routine. Each of the 3 members have a turn to "rap" about themselves. World Wide pop sensation Selena Gomez makes a cameo in this video. The actual dance routine they do will crack anyone up. At least if you have a sense of humor.

Some songs they have don't have a video or aren't on their youtube page. That is how they became famous, by the way. Their song House Party was a huge hit. BBC Comedy asked them to do a song to help get the younger voters to pay attention to the up coming election. The guys sing about whats wrong, their postions in the party, and why to join their party. Fashion Innit Skit is a little comedy about the "emo" and "goth" styles that normally go along with "rock" music. It's pretty accurate however if you ask me.

A couple of other songs they have are drunk girls, nerds, and a parody of the band All Time Low. Drunk Girls is funny. ("Drunk girls, I sing it loud and proud. You got alot of drunk girls, you make my world go round round. round.") Nerds is talking about how all his friends are nerds. They play video games all day and never go out. The All Time Low Parody is saying how they are un-original and can't make it in the music business. I doubt this is their actual opinion (all though it wouldn't surprise me if it was. For more info watch their video February Tour part 2 I believe).

In case you haven't noticed, they are a comedy band. I fell in love with them and I could honestly keep going. But if you've made it this far, I'm surprised. They are really good and you should DEFINETLY go watch their videos. Listen to their music. You will be impressed. They are crazy and stupid. But they push the limits of music and what is acceptable. :)
